(Upper and Lower Eyelid Rejuvenation)
The Smallest Things Can Make a Huge Impact
The eyes have been described as the windows to our soul. They convey our feelings, display our personality, and are often considered the most appealing feature of the human face. Over time, however, the eyes can develop heaviness. This can be exacerbated by the natural descent of the brow as we age. As this heaviness increases, the eyes can appear tired, drained, and disheartened regardless of your actual feelings. The goal of plastic surgery of the eyelids, or blepharoplasty, is to address and correct this heaviness to restore that lost, engaging quality of the eyes. This outpatient surgery by itself can often provide dramatic results and rejuvenation of the entire face.
Advanced, Lasting Techniques
At Webb Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, we employ some of the most advanced techniques for rejuvenating both the upper and lower eyelids. In approaching the eyelids, we have techniques at our disposal which address not only the outermost skin layer of the eyelid, but also the underlying structural layers. By having the ability to address these components, our plastic surgeon can tailor your procedure to your specific needs.
We can take care of:
- Excess, wrinkled skin on upper eyelid
- Hypertrophic eyelid muscle
- Inverted eyelashes
- Aged eyelid creases
- Laxity of overall eyelid
- Bags under the eyes
- Drooping corner of the eye
In addition to traditional blepharoplasty/eyelid rejuvenation procedures, Dr. Webb also offers a more extensive procedure that works well for both women and men with lower eyelid bags or deep wrinkles that are not addressed by traditional procedures. By manipulating the underlying muscles and fat in a fashion tailored to each patient, Dr. Webb is able to achieve not only a removal of excess tissue, but also a lifting of the underlying foundation. This allows the midface to be rejuvenated in a dramatic fashion through a traditional lower eyelid incision with no additional incisions elsewhere.
Get the Results You Want
Our goal is to provide a refreshed appearance to the eye region without giving a startled or “done” look. We avoid procedures that give a hollowed out appearance from the removal of soft tissue of the eyes. When you meet with our plastic surgeon, your consultation will include a discussion of your goals. Our dialogue will include other adjunctive procedures such as the use of Botox for crow’s feet, contributions of brow lifting to aesthetic surgery of the eyes, and use of fillers or fat grafting to improve the appearance of the eye region and correct hollowness. It is this range of options in approaching eye rejuvenation that sets Webb Aesthetic Plastic Surgery apart.
